Thanks guys for backing me up. It's my daughter that they are doing this to. I KNOW she is getting her homework done because I am doing most of it cause she doesn't understand it. This school is in the ghetto and I don't know if they just don't care there or what. I am just so upset. Got her report card today and it was less then acceptable. but better then I thought with all the apparent missing homework assignments. I wish that they would give her a different teacher... one that doesn't scream all the time. I mean this woman even intimidates me. I feel uncomfortable around here. I am almost afraid to say anything to her and I can't figure out why.
Anywho... thanks guys for making me feel better. I sent her to school today anyway!!! LOL!

A lot of a student learning depends on how positive of a role model the teacher is to the class.

I'm sure as a concerned mother, you can go to the principal, request him to check other students grades in that class, and see how your daughter is doing on average to them all. usually if the teacher is targeting one student, she/he always has more then one.

Last time I had one of these teachers, we got them fired. 9th grade, we had an English teacher who didn't like 3/4ths of his class (which I was in), and nor did anyone like him, because he wasn't a very good teacher. So one day, we brought a Adult magazine to school, placed it in his desk, "pretended" we found it and called for the principal right away. Teacher never showed up the next day, or the next, or for the rest of the year.

After that teacher was gone, a lot of the grades in the class went up.

Now, I'm not saying you should get the teacher removed, well...you can if you wish to do so, but discussing things with the principal may get him to talk to this teacher, and make them change their work ethics to a method the students, and parents would like better.

That's my two cent's if you like reading what I've got to say.

I looked at her report card and she put needs to improve listening skills on a subject that she is not even taking! **curses** I am so mad... I need to go drink some hot tea. So my friends are throwing me this major bash out in the middle of nowhere with our friends band playing... everyone is going to be there! I have never had a band play at my party. I have until December to figure out how to get home because everyone including myself will be far to snookered to drive home. THe best part is I don't have to pay for anything!!! My alcohol will even be provided! I wish that my husband would be there... I know that he could get me home cause he doesn't drink! awww well anywho! So I have to figure out how to get NF tomorrow. 2 copies at that.
My friend just left and got to tell me what an exciting life he is leading... my is boring my comparison. I have to live vicariously through him!
Well my boring self is going to go watch a movie with the kids!
